Finding Presence Through Pilates, Part 1
In this time of social distancing and isolation, it is more important than ever to bring attention to our physical and mental well-being. Through a committed, mindful movement practice, students can counteract the stress and anxiety that may arise in response to an unfamiliar, unpredictable environment. The Pilates method approaches the body as a whole system designed to move and breathe in a way that promotes self-healing. In this two-part series, students use the breath to facilitate each movement and awaken to the connection between mind and body—bringing themselves to the present and finding peace in the now.
