APA Member Referral Program Terms
As an APA member, you can help grow our community while earning rewards through the ongoing APA Member Referral Program.
Invite peers, colleagues, or students to join APA using your unique referral link. When someone joins through your link, they’ll receive free membership for the current cycle. You, as the recruiter, earn credit for each confirmed referral. There’s no limit to the number of referrals you can make, but rewards are limited to one per prize tier each cycle.
The program runs annually from August 1 to July 31. Your referral total resets at the start of each new cycle.
Recruiters receive prizes based on the number of confirmed referrals earned in a cycle. Each prize tier can only be earned once per cycle. Depending on your total referrals, your reward package may include items from multiple tiers.
All prizes are shipped after the close of the cycle. You’ll be notified of your prize eligibility and will have the option to accept your reward or decline it.
Please note: Prizes can only be shipped within the United States. International members are still eligible for recognition, and the grand prize will be awarded at 25 referrals (a lower participation threshold than for U.S.-based members).
All active, dues-paid APA members and affiliates are eligible to participate, including members, associates, fellows, students, teachers, international affiliates, and supporters. Members who have not renewed for the current year are not eligible.
Recruited individuals must be new to APA and must complete their membership application using your referral link within the program cycle. Free Membership applies to one year of APA annual dues only. It does not include Division fees, APA Publishing subscriptions, convention registration fees, Continuing Education, or other APA charges.
Referral credit is only given to the first member associated with a successful application submission. Duplicate referrals will not be counted.
