Campaign Rules
As an APA member, you know the importance and value your membership provides. The APA 2020 Membership Drive is a great opportunity to tell your peers, colleagues, and students to take advantage of the career development, resources, advocacy and support you get from APA!
Get involved by helping APA reach its goal of recruiting 2,020 new members! The membership drive campaign will run from February 15, 2020 through July 1, 2020.
How It Works
Each new member you refer will receive a $10 Amazon gift card
You will receive $10 toward your Amazon gift card balance for each confirmed referral—no limits!
Your Reward
The level of a recruiter’s reward will be determined after the campaign ends, on or around July 1, 2020. All confirmed referrals (new members and affiliates) will be tallied and attributed to their recruiters. Recruiters will receive one Amazon gift card valued at $10 for each new member they refer (for example, refer 10 new members and you will receive a $100 gift card). *
* Upon notification of your reward, you may decline the Amazon gift card and APA will kindly donate the amount to the American Psychological Foundation in your name.
Eligibility
All current APA members and affiliates are eligible to participate as a recruiter, including all members, associates, fellows, life status, student affiliates, teacher affiliates and international affiliates.
Unpaid members and affiliates (those who have not renewed their APA membership for 2020) are not eligible to participate as a recruiter. Renew today so that you can help grow APA and grow your reward.
In order for you to receive your reward for recruiting brand new or former APA members and affiliates, the individuals you recruit must submit their completed online membership application, payment and required documentation (if applicable) no later than 11:59 pm ET on July 1, 2020.
How to Participate
Use the unique landing pages you receive by email and digitally to recruit new members and affiliates as they are pre-coded to attribute recruits to you, for the purpose of determining your reward level.
The level of your reward will be determined after the campaign ends, on or around July 1, 2020. All accepted/paid new members and affiliates will be tallied and attributed to their recruiters. Recruiters will receive one Amazon gift card (total value calculated as described in Your Reward section above).
Once the campaign has ended, you will receive an email notifying you of your reward and a request to confirm your distribution details. Responses must be received within 30 days of notification or a donation to APF will be made in your name.
In the case of identical referrals made by multiple member or affiliate recruiters, only the first application processed and attributed to that member (via the unique, pre-coded landing page and application) will receive credit toward the reward.
Rewards are for active APA members and affiliates who paid their membership dues in 2020. No substitutions or replacements for the rewards will be made.
A member or affiliate recruiter may decline the reward and APA will contribute the amount to the APF. Member and affiliate recruiters understand that this declined incentive does not represent taxable income to the recruiter, and therefore is not eligible as a tax deduction for the recruiter.
The APA Membership Drive program is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, and is void where prohibited by law.
